Yesterday I made it through the finish line with my senior recital "Faces of Eve," and the people liked it! It went very well from the singing, staging, lighting, and PowerPoint. I'm soooooo glad it's done though. Now I can move on to the million other things I need to work on.
I want to thank everyone who helped me with my recital, specifically:
- Ines Irawati my AMAZING pianist and collaborator :)
- Craig Johnson who made this day happen, and beautifully sang with me
- My mom who found my amazing gowns, and put together a beautiful and tasty reception
- My friends Christian and Austin who also sang with me on some of the funniest scenes ever! It was so much fun!
Thank you to everyone who could be there to support me.
Today I landed in Norman, Oklahoma to visit the University of Oklahoma for their graduate program in opera! Tomorrow I meet with lots of faculty members for the program and then get to hear the legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne in a masterclass. It'll be a busy few days. Whew! Then, the next morning I come back from OK, is my dress rehearsal for my senior recital (PS: which is THIS Saturday on April 9th!).
